Lagos Photowalk Along Awolowo Road

So last weekend was Scott Kelby’s World Wide Photowalk and the Lagos edition was hosted / led by awesome photographer pal Babz Bamiro. It isn’t an easy job trying to co-ordinate 50+ photographers on the busy streets of Lagos, so kudos to him for keeping the pack focused and together. I confess I don’t go on a lot of photowalks mostly because I am afraid of being accosted by strangers who don’t take too kindly to having their pictures taken. On past photowalks I’ve had threats hurled at me and my precious camera! Anyway, I thought I would brave it this time as I reckoned there would be safety in numbers.

We started off at Ember Creek, which is right on the water on Awolowo road and then worked our way down to Falomo roundabout. My original theme started off focusing on all things colourful but then I just kinda went where my eye took me. I was shooting with my 75-300mm and trusty 50mm. Enjoy…
